Does your lube tank look like this? This lube tank is from a Hitachi Seiki Hi Cell.  First PM done on this machine in many years, found the lube tank all gummed up along with many of the metering valves.  The ways and ball screws were questionable so customer traded machine in.  Not doing preventive maintenance will cost you more in the long run.

Note: That is not a rag in the tank
